GP-Care is a confidential counselling service specially developed to meet the needs of GPs. The service is provided by Validium, a leading provider of independent counselling services for GPs and other healthcare professionals. All Greater Glasgow and Clyde GPs are covered by the scheme. Couples counselling is also available. Validium's services, including confidentiality, are governed by the Code of Ethics of its professional body. Validium uses only professionally qualified and registered counsellors. They are used to dealing with the particular pressures that GPs experience.
